Limited Ed. GT3RS will be 997 swan song
I posted this in another forum but thought some of you might have also missed this article. As the 997 nears the end of it's run, Porsche has announced a special GT3 will be the last 997.
Here's the article as it appeared in EVO this week.
Cheers

Does Evo have anything that's not just forum hearsay swallowed by a journo and regurgitated as "news" ?
It's only two weeks' away ... can't we wait two weeks to be bitterly disappointed?

Claims of delayed press release in UK, started to make me doubt if this will ever come out or hold off until the next generation of GT3/RS appears. I just hope it's not a tarted up version of the GT3 RS called GT3-R.

Now for a really juicy rumor. PAG has built protosof the 991 GT3 with a flat 8. Given the V8 in the Ferrari and BMW it makes sense and puts the added wheelbase to good use. Imagine the sound! The 908 and 910 give me shivers when I hear them.

If true I am SO glad I was wrong about the LE!
An RSR derived engine on a street car? Unreal!
If they 've added a bodywork to match then we are r talking about the most exciting street 911 of all times IMO.
