Center Lock Wheels

Center Lock Wheels
Hi. What tools do I need to deal with checking the torque on center lock wheels at the track? The removal nut came with the GT3 RS, and I'm guessing I need to get the breaker bar remove/tighten the wheels. But what about something to confirm the wheels are correctly torqued (a torque wrench)? Or do you think that's not necessary (just make sure they're real tight?).
Thanks!
Thanks!

This is a good thread on the current prescribed technique and links to torque multiplier and break bar, telescopic Porsche bar, etc.
Also check out the threads on losing the dust cap, moisture behind the dust cap and the general "beta version 0.9" readiness of these new street car centerlocks. Grumble.

I think I'm the only one who loves these center locks....but maybe because I was prepared. Thanks to all the threads, when my car arrived I was ready with what I needed. Changing tires is so much easier.
I know, I'm crazy.

I think they're fun and cool, too, but the simple things that have been overlooked in this early beta release need to be debugged. It takes skill and patience just to remove the dust cap without crinkling the thing ... beer bottle caps are more durable.

Yes, it still sucks that the cover cap is so fragile and can easily be marred or lost altogether, and I do miss getting use out of my impact wrench, but all in all, centerlocks aren't so bad. I'm thinking of making some home-made silicone caps out of dental impression PVS material so that I can use them for track days in lieu of the $30 caps, so that if I lose 'em from hard cornering, just make new ones.

C'mon, no biggie, even for me!
Big Torque wrench VS Torque drill.
I rather torque 4x then 20 times.
Takes me same time change wheels.
No real benefit but no big problem either.
The biggest negative is putting the bar between seat and pedal and that only takes 10 secs to put in and remove..
Less choice of wheels also, but BBS not much more expensive.
Agree with Mooty that they should just have used the CUP stuff.
