Peter - there is three ways for you to overtake the ferrari
1. easy way - get better tires than Toyos and you will be faster in T17, T1 and hairpin
2. get a 4.0 and both the scud and 458 are history.
3. get RAD to do another 8 sebring days and his ferrari will lose tranny, if not I will treat Rad to Chicane's

4.0 RS can't touch my Scuderia. 4.0 RS will come with 200 lbs of extra weight, less power, horrible weight distribution, a very slow tranny, and a 10-minutes lasting on/off LSD. Wings can't do miracles.
8 more track days at Sebring, and for sure I would have to replace rotors, $28k a set. Fortunately, the nice people at Brembo is making replacement floating rotors, and full caliper/rotor kits in multiple sizes.
Tranny/clutch/diff have survived over 100 drag racing starts and almost 10,000 miles. GT3 trannies and drag racing, I know of 6 attempting to do the same I do, ending with broken axles and diff.
No RMS leaks, and no coolant fittings coming lose yet.

The GT2 RS was 2 secs faster than the 3.8 RS. Where would the 4.0 RS be? most likely in the middle, or 3 secs slower than a 2010 Viper ACR. The 4.0RS won't be unbelievable, the MP4-12C will.

Put your Beetles on RE-11 and my wheel/tire sizes and I can chase you with my lousy Cayman (200 lbs lighter than your Beetles).

If laptime is all that matters we'd all be driving Scuds, GT2RS'es. Or for a fraction of the price Corvettes, GTR's and Vipers. Or even TTS with PDK. How boring all.
I hope I'm wrong but I think if you do 8 more track days (Full days, not the late arrival, half days.) you'll be replacing more then rotors and I'll buy your apetizer anyway, probably a Sorbet.
Eventually they all end up on a flat bed. They always do. Get out and into a 4.0 resistance is futile.

"It always irritated me that the (most expensive) 911 tops out at 250,000 euros ($360,000) and then the 918 continues starting at 750,000 euros," Mueller told the German daily newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung in an interview published on Monday.
He added: "In between, Ferrari cavorts around relatively comfortably and without any competition. That is where we need to be. There is still space for a larger sports car, one like the 959 that we built in the 1980s."
Mueller said such a model could cost 250,000 euros to 400,000 euros.

8 total track days, over 300 autocross laps (by multiple drivers), on its way to 9,000 miles, more than 100 drag race launches, I have everything documented. Car will be 2 years old in 16 days.
With fewer drag launches I went through 3 clutches in the 996 GT3, 3 differentials.
Maintenance so far: ate 1 set of front stock brake pads in 2 days at Sebring (stock pads are crappy), ate another set of front track pads in 6 track days plus 8,000+ miles + all the autocrosses. Oil changes, tires. That's it.

Rad. You were hard on your 6GT3. I got 18000 miles out of my oem clutch and never did do a diff. We did over 400 pro solo launches and 1000's of autox runs. Throw in some track days and the 2008 One Lap and got rid of the car after 25000 miles. Besides brake pads znd rotors the only maintenance I had was the clutch. We took the tranny apart at 20000 miles to check syncro's and all was good.
Still take the 3 over the Fiat.
