So, I have a deposit down on a 2007 Speed Yellow GT3. Should have it picked up by the weekend.
I would like to get second opinions of the scenario before the deal gets finalized:
Here is the car: http://porsche.bluegrassauto.com/Pre...17S792893.aspx
They are giving me $25,000 trade in on my 2002 Guard's Red Carrera 4 Cabriolet.
Do these numbers seem reasonable? They have so far been very unwilling to bend on either the selling price, or the trade in.
This is definitely the car I want, right color, low miles, CPO, and the dealership is a mile from my house. I just want some reassurance from other Porsche dudes that I'm not acting irrationally when presented with opportunity to get my dream car.

That trade-in number looks painful but what trade-in isn't, right?
However, I hope you can at least negotiate a lower purchase price than what's listed if you're going concede on the trade-in. That GT3 looks like a clean example. Beautiful in fact! But looking at the mileage and being that it's yellow (not exactly a popular color, but I like it), a fair price would start at or below $80k. Good luck. Hope you close the deal!

the selling price is high for a 24k mile 997.1.
These cars are in the low to high 70's nowadays.
That being said, if you want yellow then it is worth a premium...
You wont find another yellow .1 anytime soon, so beggars cant be choosers...
It is a dealer car so no worries in that department. And the trade in is good value.
They really need to help you out on selling price IMHO. 80k would be nice

Cash "selling" price on the GT3 should be around mid to high 70's. It all depends on how much you think you can get for your car if you sell it yourself. Maybe it is a good idea to try to sell your car first?

Agree with the above posters. 07, higher mileage, no PCCBs--all these should give you leverage in negotiating a price below 80k.

Be aware they probably traded this car for mid 70's ... It's about 5k+ too expensive ... But welcome to purchasing from a dealer ...
Think about doing this, find another dealer with a car you like, call them, epress interest, then tell them you have this car ... See what they offer you for a trade in on it ... Add 5% to that number and offer this dealer that number ...

Also agree price is a bit high for mileage. But I also know too well where you are, I just hope you have done your homework and have investigated the market. It's a lot easier in the US, where states are closer and goods flow easily.
Maybe keep the cab if you can (low miles?) and do a cash deal on the 3. You can never have too many P cars.

Purchasing GT3's across the country is easy, even if it is a private party purchase most dealers will also provide you with a CPO to complete this transaction. Take a look at autotrader and cars.com and look at cars within 500 miles of you. I just purchased my second gt3 last week and it was an out-of-state purchase.
