57 stage 1 over-revs- concern?

LOL... I have 800km's, yes KM on the odo and already clocked myself 5 Stage 1s.
I subscribe to Savyboy's "run them fair but run them hard" philosophy. Gonna put another 300 klicks on this car this weekend and it'll be off to the track next week!!

Over-revs are Over-rated, don't worry about it... and I'm not just being flippant. It's easy to get carried away and to hit the limiter by accident. You know, not realizing how fast the engine revs up in lower gears, and first thing you know, rev-limiter kicks in and messes up your rythme.
Good luck

Calling them over-revs is not entirely correct. Type 1 is simply bounces off the rev limiter.
It's a friggin' GT3!!! If you are not bouncing off the rev limiter WTF are you doing in one? Get a Benz.
I wouldn't be too happy with rev limit driving in the first 100 miles but after that as long as the engine is up to operating temperature it's all good.
Even that may be overly paranoid.
My last E46 M3 hit the rev limit at around 60 km on the odometer. Engine performed flawlessly after and as far as I know still does(don't own the car anymore).
