Default Another Q for the brakes forum: those who are using time-serts...

are you still using the same oem caliper bolts with the time-serts?

And when you swap pads, do you re-use the bolts knowing that the time-serts are less likely to strip, or do you still treat them as one-use-only hardware and put new ones in every time?

Not familiar with these time-serts but they're starting to look like the route I will take before installing the first set of RS29's for her first shakedown DE, so pardon me if this is a dumb question.

I replace the bolts usually every second or third time off the car even with the time-serts.

I'm w Bob here, although I usually go 4-5 times before I replace the bolts. It was actually with a new set of bolts that I stripped the threats, making the time certs neccessary.

I use Stop Tech STR

Got sick of flipping pads in front and dealing with rear bolt replacemet when taking rear pads out for inspection....

After a track weekend I take my pads out to inspect wear ect.......

That means I woudl have to buy stock in Porsche overpriced bolts (or put in studs)

Thanks. And sorry for asking -- I'd read your thread some time ago and should have just searched back and read it again. Great posts.
