FS - GT3 Specific Schroth Harness - $325 shipped
This harness was used for 4 days.
It is a Schroth GT3 specific harness (Profi II, 6pt in red). It has two different types of crotch straps included (one to attach to a BK sub strap bar and the other if you have an attachment point on the floor. I used it in my 996 GT3 but as far as I know, it can be used in the 997 as well.
3" straps - I used it with my HANS without a having any issues with the shoulder straps slipping off.
It is in PERFECT condtion.
I paid $456.93 for this shipped to my door from HMS Motorsports.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks.

I just bought a set of these exact same harnesses Jason... wished I would've known you were selling. It's me Larry.
Not ditching the GT3 already are you? or are these just an extra set? glws.

LOL - no race car.
I still have my E36 BMW that is a gutted track rat. Putting a different motor in it.
Bought an M5 (E39), kept it for 4 months and just bought an M6.
The 996 GT3 was a really bad daily driver. Fun on the track bad for frequent street use IMO.

I suspect the 996 GT3 would work for some people as a daily. The lack of sound insulation was a real problem. I'm a physician and will be on the phone with patients all the way to and from work when I'm on-call. I could not hear the conversation well and my patients could not hear me very well. I found myself pulling over from time to time to have a conversation.
Ultimately, I found myself not driving the car on my call days (every 4th day).
Also, I drive all of my cars in the winter (I live in the Chicago area). Not when there is a bunch of snow on the ground but when the roads are dry. I'd put winter rubber on some extra wheels and go. The 996GT3 does not have any underbody protection from what I've read. I did not want to "ruin" a nice clean GT3 with all of the salt (I probably should have checked on this stuff before I bought it!).
So, I was going to garage the GT3 in the "salt covered road" months and then only drive it on non-call days the other months. I HATED coming out in the garage, walking past it and getting in my winter beater for the day.
It didn't fit my needs.
If I lived in a place with nice weather all season and did not need to talk on the phone for work, I could have totally lived with it. It is really user dependent.
Hope this helps.
