these things are worth their weight in gold ... you will be lucky to find anyone with a pair that will part with them ... if so they will be around the $5k point ...

Gemballa had a set on eBay for $8k ... call em and offer them a deal!

good luck

apparently, although 8250 is nuts for seats that are either new or used, they state both on the eBay page ...

I'd throw'em an offer of $5k ...

youre tellin me. smugglers should run these things instead of drugs.

one other question now that i'm thinking about it - should i get leather or the cloth if i have to go new? fyi, it's also a daily driver and i do like leather (but i will have the comfort of my stock seats in for half the year/off season at least). alcantara is out of the question...unless i have $3500 extra lying around for the replacement inserts on suncoast!

its even true of the old 996 recaros ... if I had known that they would jump from 2200 a pair to 4k I would have started a 'recaros futures' mkt!

I would go for leather, I had nomex recaros in my clubsport and after a few driving events, lets just say they adopted a certain "eau de locker room" ...

YMMV!

p.s
You *may* be able to order leather/alacantara seats from a dealer for less than the cost of the seats+cushions from suncoast

Contact Isringhaus or something like that near Chicago. They have a new set for around $5800 or so. Great deal! Tell the guy in parts that Stuart from DC sent you as I will not be taking them and he might have been holding them for me.

Good luck,

Stu

I just bought a brand new set of GT2 seats in cloth from Suncoast using the 20% off Porsche coupon (http://suncoast.porschedealer.com/20...04/special.php). With the coupon, the price comes to about $5570. That's not a bad deal for new seats. Note that coupon is only good until March 31.

i'm assuming that's for the cloth? i think the last time i checked the leather price, with coupon, it only came down to about 6k or so.
