Default Pulled the trigger on GT3RS front ultalegarra

Hopefully this will do what I want....

I have a 10 GT3.....i like to autox

Called tirerack and got a couple of GT3RS front 9x19 for my GT3.

I have my front struts rotated and about -2.6 neg camber in front.

I am only running a 235/19 A6 in front, and I figure I will get an extra 1/2" track width in front, and an extra 1/2" width on each front wheel right ?

Rear is stock GT3 wheel with 315/19 A6.

Might not be much on an improvement, but an improvement right ?

I know this may sound like either a stupid or facetious question, its not intended to be; so what exactly are you trying to achieve here, i.e what is the handling "problem"/symptom(s) that you are trying to correct here, and what led you to wider track & wheels at the front?

really just trying to extract value content for the thread ...

^all too funny I was thinking of doing the opposite getting liter rear wheels to offset the rear wt bias. Hella ugly though. Mike

I think z06 describes the objective pretty well and realizes the "gains" will be marginal.

Lehmann, you'll gain 1" of front track, won't you? 1/2" of additional track either side with the 47mm offset...

Still, if wat they say about the gt3 and RS sharing same front fender is true, you shouldn't have a problem with agressive alignment settings...

GT3 8.5x19 ET53
GT3RS 9x19 ET47

12mm more to the outside with the RS wheels for each wheel,

and a total track width gain of about an inch but if you have rotated struts and didn't add shims then yes it would be slightly less than an inch compared to how the width was originally from the factory.

Whatever gain is there from the track width increase, will be added to the gain from the tire being better stretched on a 9" wheel..

Wish I had 9 fronts.

Trying to limit weight transfer with a wider track.

And #2.......having my Hoosier A6 235/19 on a 9" wheel instead of my stock GT3 8.5" wheel----should let the tire work better.....thereby improving grip.

And lowering times on the autocross course....because it's making me faster.

(Although by a small margin)

I want to order a front GT3 RS size ultraleggera too on my GT3 '10.

Will it fit on stock camber. Please make a picture if you have them on.

Stock the distance to the spring s seems tight......same with the new ultra legarra.
nstalled the wheels with A6 235/19 A6 Hoosier...this wheel fits the tire much better.

tire is slightly inside the top of the fender and peeks out the bodywork on the side and bottom.

Tire on this wheel due to offset seems like the top of the fender is like another .25 inch closer to the top of the tire. I drove the car for a mile or 2 dind't hear a rub.....stopped hard from 45mph didn't hear or feel rub. Took off tire and looked at fender and spring....didn't see any marks.

Just not sure what will happen with ***** to the wall autocrossing.

with 2.6 camber it s slighty within the fender i quess. Original camber it s not?

lehmanz06 could you make a few picture s taken from the front and the rear and above.

That would be awesome. It for making my final judgement to go for gt3 or RS wheel size.
