M.S.R.P is what I am hearing. Anyone paying more, is not being patient. I understand CGT's being 500k when they came out. But this is a Turbo. Granted a very special one, but still a Turbo.

Riviera Blue? I would love to see pics! It was said that "paint to sample" was not available for these cars. A Riviera Blue one would be INSANE!

Having been a GT2 hunter and successfully bagged one at MSRP, these stealer's looking for over MSRP are subscribing to the greater fool theory.
I spoke to all of them, the only one you may get at MSRP is from Miller in NJ but the car was spec'd for more track use, light on the options. After I told them I had another car, they still called back looking for leads. The car was ordered by a customer who bagged at delivery, so they want to get rid of it and it is at the bottom of the option list of all the cars spoken about in this thread.

The guys in LA won't budge for less than20k over MSRP at this point.

This whole thing reminds me of when the ZR1 came out, ton on Ebay. Some at MSRP, some way over: now all with trunk money!

Let us not forget that in the end, Porsche will destroy the premium of this car with the next great thing in about two years.

The guys in LA are speaking a little sweeter now. But is there any back story to that dealer and that car? #482 I think? Several things have made me suspicious.

Which dealer?
What's the description of the car?

Beverly Hills. Silver, full black leather. Pretty and far far away. It's off the website now, probably pulled because I've got a deposit on it. I think it's #482, though they have had a few go through there. The car has been off site for photos at least once. Someone on teamspeed freaked about it. I tend to agree with him. They should leave the car alone if they want to sell it. The odo is only 10 or 12 though. I can't take delivery here in upper MI now anyway. Snow coming.
Overall the best dealer experience I've had, surprisingly, is Fox Valley in Appleton.

So far it is solid at 30k over. But there are only 5 left. So whoever finds one at MSRP is the hero.

Default Riviera Blue GT2RS

Green -- How did your friend get this car in blue? The factory was adament about not taking special order colors.

What's 30K over? A GT2 RS? Maybe that's the asking price -- why would a dealer ask less? But has anyone paid over msrp?

I think he insisted and was willing to wait for the end of the production run. It was an overseas purchase btw.

I agree Larry with a caviat. Between the model change and the 2 year depreciation history proven already by GT2, GT3, GT3 RS, the GT2 RS value will drop big time....look at how many GT2s are available today with -3000miles

Stupidity or "the more money than sense" issue, will prevail if anyone pays anything over MSRP for a GT2 RS......

Why are there so many available you ask? Virtual buyers, cancelled orders, maybe or simply the 245k or more price the Stealerships are gambling on.
