XPEL - 2011 Porsche GT2RS Clear Bra Installation - San Antonio, Texas
#17
Car is on the body shop right now getting the ''clown'' out of it, and spraying ''clear bra'' on the front grill.
New material from BASF, a permeant clear bra, let's see if it can resist the track.

Yes, protection is #1, pretty #2. With my abuse I could not do without (good) clear bra, or I would have to respray the car annually and that might lead buyers to think might have been in an accident. I want to keep the paint virgin just for that reason.
Can you BASF my new grilles, get them from Orbit? Or have it done at Orbit?

Anyway, try TTR if you have not already.

Thanks DRL,
I have it here and tried TTR from Permier. I think this nasty stuff is supper sticky rubber mixed in with new tar they used to repave some of Sebring. Sweepers were used in between sessions!

I have the TTR stuff from Premier. It won't remove cone marks at all, just ok for tire goo. The only way I could remove cone marks is with Acetone, but films gets damaged.
I have yet to find a benign product that can remove cone marks without damaging the film.
Paint Thinner doesn't remove cone marks either, unless rubbed strongly, and will damage the film easier than Acetone due to the abrasion required to remove cone marks.

I use Simple Green to get all the black marble marks off. Just wet the cloth pretty well and rub over the mark. Not hard, just an easy to soft pressure. For stubborn marks you may have to repeat a couple of times. I find it really works well even on older marble marks and it does not scratch the clear bra.
