Default Trofeo Update

Previously said I fitted 305 rear to my Gen 2 RS based on advice NOT to fit 325 due to rubbing issues. Did track day on full GP circuit at Autodrome and tyres and car were fine (top speed of 250kmh). Certainly need to run 29psi hot (one chap ran 26). Very good tyres but don't think they gonna last that long

Hey there, nice seeing you at the track the other day!

You are correct about the Trofeos: judging by how they looked today when I removed them, they probably have another one, maybe two track events left in them. Which means a total life of 4 or 5 events...

Great tires, but expensive to run!!!!

Keep me posted. I would support that purchase. You need a new RS. You're far too fast for a lowly .1 GT3

You can try MSW in Dubai - ask for Andre and say Carl give him a call.

Failing that, you can do what I did and import them

Hi, i'd like to know what is the "rubbing issue"? did you run 29 psi rear and front? I know that pirrelli needs less pressure than pirelli. On their website they talk about 2 bar.
I've finished my michelin pilot sport cup + N1 last track day and i'm going to buy pirelli.
With Michelin i've set 2 bar front and 2,3 rear. I think that also with michelin it's possible to set lower pressure.

29 psi all round. Rubbing issue was found on another gen 2 RS car Fearnsport (who I bought tyres from) work with. Another RS owner in US has had similar problems (see other ~Trofeo thread).

Tnx for the info. I'll try to get the real dimension of the 2 tyres to understand the difference.
