4.0 GT3RS - Details Emerge

This just proves my point. The Porsche brand is NOT diluted by having many variants of the 911. This has been part of Porsche's MO for quite some time now.
Cayenne, Cajun and Panamera...IMHO, that's a whole different story.

The tiptronic first showed up on the 996 all wheel drive cars. The 993 or 964 all wheel drive cars didn't have the option of tip tranny.
Allow me.
Let's see Porsche has done this before:

Variants of the 911 do not dilute Porsche, IMHO, but the Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne GTS, Cayenne Turbo and the Panamera and all it's variants do.
As for me, I hope Porsche looks at the 993 RS Clubsport as what to shoot for in this 4.0L RS.

There's much wisdom in your post MJones but I can only pray that the "special" cars that PAG are peddling today will retain their status over time and earn themselves the a spot in the league of the 930 slantnoses and 964 RS3.8. My layman commercial logic says it's a tall order...

Time will tell. There are "special" models from the past that demand premiums and some that don't.

I agree. Why criticize Porsche for making 911 variants. The issue is with
the rest of the line.... SUV's and entry level SUV's are simply ridiculous.
At least Ferrari made a station wagon which makes more
"sense" at least from an engineering perspective. I could probably swallow the bitter pill of a Porsche Wagon.... but a bloated SUV is another story. How about a GTS SUV or the next RSR SUV. VW will make it happen
PS: MJS looks like a Colombia flag on you sig... I was in Cartagena and had a blast!

993 RS
993 RSCS (Clubsport)
993 RSR (Racing only Pic attached)
993 GT2
993 GT2 Evo
I am with you Mooty, the Gt3RS 4.0 should be like the 993 RSR
