Does anyone know Rennlist user: 340Elise ???

I paid him US$360 for some decals .....and now he wont respond to my emails.

16 days - with no response to emails, and I think I need to concede that I have been ripped-off by one of our own
Poor form Stephen, really poor form.

So heads up people..... be careful with who you deal with.... even on Rennlist

That sounds bad but maybe he has some more serious issues?

I don't know him but from a quick look his last post here was months ago and his last log in was in January. Did you made this transaction over email?

Also read these threads.. they don't look very good.

Yes, I considered he may have other serious things happening.
....hence asking if anyone knows him.

I felt no response for 2 weeks was the clincher. ....only 30 sec to send an email.

It does look like 340Elise had to liquidate.
Hopefully someone can diplomatically make contact with him.

Q, you've contributed a lot of great posts here, I hope you get a fair deal.

I met him once at the track here and he was a very nice guy. Hopefully, everything is fine with him and you'll receive your items soon.

I met him at a PCA event in New Mexico several years back. Like GrantG I found him to be a very nice guy. I can't claim to know him though. I haven't had any contact with him in years. Sorry to hear your problems, that stinks.

I bought a set of GT-3 wheels from Stephen, he was slow in getting things shipped, but he came through as promised. Stephen probably spent days, if not weeks packing the wheels, it took me a couple of hours to get all of the masking tape off of the wheels. The wheels were packed so well, they could have been dropped from the top of a building and survived without a nick!

I believe you will be hearing from him soon. My wheels probably took three weeks for him to ship.

Good luck!

Mark

RL is a sample of society and has all kinds of people some are true to their own words..others not so much, we hope that the moderators here keep an open eye and ear to the concerns of our memebers. or perhaps establish a feedback system like e-bay so you know who you are dealing with in advance.

i have bought many items for him, yes he is slow but always delivered as described.

I know a lot of rennlisters think this site is like amazon and get items shipped next day but we all have other lives and issues that get in the way.

As others have said, he is a very nice guy and very honest. I purchased an 06' STI from him and car was as he described and haven't had any issues with it. I also purchased a set of tires for my GT3 and that transaction went very smoothly. He is hard to get a hold of and at times slow but give him a chance. I think he will come thru and yo will get your product.

i purchased a set of used Fabspeed side muffler deletes for my GT3 from 340elise.

He was great to deal with and also had previously done a lot of mods to his GT3 in which we traded notes on.... Cup steering wheel mods etc....

I wouldnt worry about being ripped off as it is not his style.

I bought a set of CCW's from Stephen. He was parting ways with his GT3 so he had a lot for sale at one time, but things went smoothly and wheels were delivered no problem. Hope everything is resolved.

Something of a track record (pun) or score card or feedback or "thumbs up/down" voting would be great. I've had a dozen good transactions and one scum bag.

The objective would be to make it based on real events (as with Amazon or eBay) and not just a popularity contest or arbitrary voting system (as with some forum sites.)

Well I am glad to see people have had good dealings with him.
Disappointing he has my money ....and wont send goods or communicate.

Time will tell how he handles himself.....
