not if it lengthens your stopping distance by 50% - it will actually likely be the cause of a new incident
We are not talking about old lady driving, sees accident in front of her, slams on brakes and is able to steer around crashed cars. What I am saying is, old lady sees accident, slams on brakes, brake pressure is released so that she can steer around accident (hopefully) but then hits dog running across street in front of accident because enough brake pressure was released so she could steer but stopping distance increased, possibly dramatically given the correct situation, and she kills the dog.
When ABS intervenes on a street GT3, you can guarantee your stopping distance is increasing - potentially dramatically in the wrong set of circumstances.
Now with 6 cupcars they have abs so as u say u can ^go deeper with brakes wo abs. Did 6 cups remove abs? Sorry for ^all these silly questions. Since my car will be solely a trackcar with a few races mixed in would u recommend I take out abs? Mike
I know it's different abs then street. Racing sanctions deem 7cupcars to have ^no abs. Just want to know if by 997gt3north's logic that wo abs they can ^go deeper into brake zone or at least better modulate the brakes. Just wonder if any 6cupcars removed their racing abs if that is the case with better braking wo abs. Mike
Have you guys with the 40/60 LSD or 50/80 LSD had to change your alignments much to compensate for the increased rear lock up and grip and to help with the increased front end push?
Have you maybe stiffened rear sway bar one setting?
996 GT3 with cup lsd 45/65 lasted 3 years just replaced with same cup plates.
No prob in rain on track. Motons 900/1100, front one off full stiff, rear full stiff.

I would describe my car as high speed neutral to very slight push
Car (997gt3 mk1)
- 997gt2 rear sway on soft (this is slightly stiffer that the stock bar on hard)
- front bar as delivered
- front camber -2.7 with slight toe out
- rear camber at -2.2
- I run the RS wing at 12 degrees all the time (this gives me the confidence to take Mosport turn #4 with the rear end firmly planted)
