Default Tequiment bar in 997.2 GT3...

Hey folks,

Wondering if anybody has had any experience using a 996/997 Porsche Tequipment roll bar in a 997.2 GT3 with the new reclinable Sport Bucket seats? I've seen more than one 997 with this bar, but usually utilizing Euro 996 GT3 seats.

Any help is appreciated!

I'm currently looking for the same which I understand is the Porsche # 997 044 800 18 for the 2011 GT3RS.
Carnewal in Belgium sells it and I might buy it there if nothing is available in N.A.

Kindly share any info.
thanks

The 6 bar fits fine with the GT2 seats.

I had my 996 Porsche Tequipment roll bar removed from my 996 GT3 and install into my 2011 997.2 GT3, no issues with fit up or clearances. It bolts right up to the factory mounting points, no drilling required. I have the sport bucket seats option in my GT3, again no issues with seat operation/function.

Here is a picture of my car and you can see the bar inside, somewhat.

DO the seats slide ALL THE WAY back on their rails without colliding with any part of the bar? - the 996 seats in the 997.1 with the TQ bar struck the lower mounting point by the doorsill thus interfering with the seats being able to go all the way back.

I don't recall having any issues with the seat sliding all the way back or touching the Roll Bar but I'll check again this weekend when I get back home and let you know.

Went out and had a look at this and there is a slight restriction with the passenger seat going all the way back. The back of the passenger seat is touching the horizontal bar on the Tequipment Roll Bar. Passenger seat travel is restricted to about 1/2" from full rear position.

There are no issues with the drivers seat, seat slides to full rear position without touching the Tequipment Roll Bar.
