that is a tough one.
The 997.2RS is the faster car but the 996RS is a very rare and good car.
You would need both

sorry to be blunt, but you have to be an idiot to sell 996RS for 7.2RS.
the only way to do it is to add the 7.2RS.

Plus DEM are stad or RS.

You can't drive CUP cars to work.
What's DEM?

I'd try to drive a cup car to work, but the highway patrol might have a little problem with it.

RS gives you the widebody with different rear wheel offset and wing. (kinda like turbo body)
RS has no sunroof
RS has aluminum doors
RS has light weight fly wheel.

Please define if you are referring to .1 or .2

Then you get not available on GT3:
Shorter gear ratio
Ti exhaust (Ok they break)
LWFW
Big wing

You're talking about .2 right?

At least you get to listen to the sweet sound of the engine which you could listen to just as well by just turning off the stereo...if you had one.
but we're all race car drivers who can drive these cars at 10/10s!

Does the .1 rs have shorter gear ratio like the .2? What about the different heads that the .2 apparently has. Does the .1 have that too?

No, no.
.1rs is essentially the same as a .1 gt3 with bigger hips, wing and lwfw.

the main difference to me was the RS decal and the RS vin.
u be amazed what those two letters command in price premium.

we manufacture clothing for kmart as well as for saks, same item, same worker, same factory, just different label.... what's the difference. the LABEL. this is marketing 101 guys.

Mooty, would it be fair to say that the gt range from 996.1 to 997.2 is pretty similar, with marketing driving the differences that we all focus on??

well don't trust my hyperbole totally
there are difference
6.1 had bad brakes but light and nimble
6.2 lost a bit of that
6.2 rs has befogged eomg and cf panels
7.1 is closely related to 6.1 certainly in displacement
7.2 added cosmetic chg
rs had wider *** and gearing.
I would pay 10-20000 easily for the gearing alone. it's a BIG difference

but yes lots marketing, especially PTS and stitching
