I'll try to reply to as many questions as possible:
I have pretty varied racing experince. Used to race shifter karts in my yoof, have done many track schools, did the One Lap of America in 2003 in an M Coupe and used to be a member of NASA with the M Coupe and the old PBIR Moroso config track. Been dormant for about 5 years.
Think I'd like to start slowly and do the Braman PBIR track day first. Get the feel of the car and the new PBIR layout in a no pressure situation. It's supposed to be a ton of track time at zero cost with fully catered food and drink. Perfect for the first time out in a new car, I'd say.
I have an old SNELL 2000 lid, sounds like I need a new one now.
Thanks TRAK CAR, I'll check out Orbit for sure.
TRAK CAR - Just been on your site (very nice, BTW) did you have the entire car wrapped in white plastic? Do you mind me asking approx how much that costs? Also, love the pedals. I have been stratching my head over heel and toeing in this car, the gas pedal is just too far down for me to reach at all comfortably. What pedals are those?
Izzone: Trackweekend.com - what a great site. Thanks for that.
Thanks again all!

First, excellent taste in color. Second, don't worry about the pedals until you actually drive the car at speed - you will find that the brake and gas pedals align perfectly for heel-toe when you mash the brakes. Third, I am partial to Teamtech harnesses - I think they are much more comfortable than the Schroth ones I have tried. Fourth, I think the DAS bar is the best for the money. Have fun!
