Default Race Ramps / Trailex 8045

Has anyone bought race ramps for their trailex to load their GT3 without removing the spoiler......I have a cup spoiler....

I do not want to mess with wood.....need turn key

Please post dimensions if you have them

Thanks

all depends on the trailer deck height to determine the ramp length ramp, but to clear an RS front splitter you need 7.2:1 (lgth:ht) ratio

Something along the lines:

take a yard stick and with one end touching your front tire, and the stick just touching the splitter, measure the distance to the ground from the outer end....

I get just under 6" on mine.

Interesting. Any idea what the ratio is for non-RS GT3?

Izzone,

I have a featherlite 3110 (similar to Trailex) and I use these race ramps.

http://www.raceramps.com/trailer-ramps-5.aspx

The are the best!!!!! Help enormously!

Also My car has a world challenge splitter and is lowered as far as the car will go (2" off the ground) and my car does not scrape with these ramps.

Best $300 spent, don't even hesitate.

Problem is all your buddy's at the track will borrow them and then you will need to get a 2nd set.

That answers my question. Thought I could get away w/ the 4", but probably safer w/ the 5". Seem long though.

My 993RS isn't quite as projecting as your GT3 but it's close

Raceramps is the only way I can get mine on to the trailer

Those are the 5", correct? Looks like you had to build up the "notch" in the ramp. Is that a trailex?

when I was looking for a trailer some years ago I choose Trailex and one of the reasons was that Featherlight as do most trailers have 6 foot ramps whereas Trailex uses 11 foot ramps I have no problem getting my SC with a deep RS front bumper on my trailex with the supplied ramps alone. I also had my( then, now gone) '07 GT3 up there once or twice with no issue ...... and I hate that scraping sound of pristine painted plastic so I try and avoid it.

I just loaded the 997.2 RS onto our enclosed Trailex. I have used Race Ramps for 3 years. A little scrapping initially but much better than without. Everything is packed to go to Sebring in the morning so I will have to wait till Thursday or Friday to post dimensions. They look very similar to those pictured by Bill Verburg but a bit longer.

Trailex 8045 features 11' ramps vs. 7' on the 7541. This makes loading easier. You can also crank up the tongue jack to lower the angle of approach.

Race Ramps are good stuff.

Race ramps are great. Lightweight helps too. I pull my truck up on prefabbed blocks to lessen the rear approach angle of the trailer.
