Interesting... mine should hit US shores around that time too, but I don't know that it would be labeled 2012. I'll try to find that out.

I was told early march by the dealer, but have not seen any documentation form Porsche NA yet. They say most of the Porsche people in the US are "on vacation" throughout January, so docs are delayed??!

wow it would be hard for me to special order a car with the amt of GT3s & RS's in dealers and the amt of slightly used cars at very very reduced rates.....

I'm sure it's doable. Unlike F-cars, porsche dealers aren't territorial and you're bound to find somebody willing to do it for you as long as PAG's still churning out the cars. Whether the economics make sense (vs. cars already on the lot) at that point is a different question... There are even PTS cars on offer when another member posted a laundry list of them on another thread...
