Default New GT3-RS, they are still out there

Guys

I just spoke to Parktown Porsche in St Louis MO. They just took delivery of a new grey and red gt3-rs. Parktown said they will discount this car below MSRP to sell it. I told them I would drop the information here in Rennlist. I have no affiliation with Parktown and will not benefit from this in anyway. I just want to help them sell a car to someone here that can enjoy the car for what it is really intended for.

I bought my RS from these guys and they were very good to deal with so I do have personal experience with them. If you have any questions you can contact:

Randy Zamarripa
Parktown Porsche Audi
314-973-6802

Let me know if this works out for anybody.

You Know I don't really like the gray that much. To each their own.

Why would you get those seats?

^^ same here. Odd spec job. Only reason to spec those seats for an RS is for use as a daily, and not for tracking... but then why skimp on the full leather yet equip the car with PCM and sound package?!?

Car is worth 120k......if it had the right seats....

It has a bunch of useless options.......I guess all options on an RS are pretty much useless. They come perfect

I beg to differ!

Lightweight headlights are free and remove the plastic chrome garden sprinkler fittings from the front of the car.

As for this car, it's in Missouri, it's winter, it's an oddball set of options which would at least call for getting the right seats, but not everyone would care to bother if it were purely a street car for weekends. I doubt they'd discount it enough ($10K?) to make it worth the compromises. Those red gauge faces ...

The seats are an interesting option. If you were going to DD the car why not get a GT3?
I bet someone ordered the car and then bailed. I can't imagine a dealer would order the car like that. Maybe the guy who speced it had a wide a$$.

Full Navi, Wart, Leather Wheel, CORNERING LIGHTS, ADAPTIVE SEATS, CLUBSPORT DELETE... WTH???

Either (a) the buyer was looking for a GT3 in RS guise or (b) the dealer had no clue whatsoever when he was speccing out the buy...

Newport Beach Porsche in California has two 2011 GT3's and three 2011 RS's in stock/incoming. Orders that the prospective buyers walked away from after the order.

Here is their inventory - options are listed on each car.

When a dealer configers an RS, which is rare...they opt for these seats, which would make the car more appealing to road going drivers....this is the 3rd I've seen with sport adaptive seats....I guess if they take 12k off MSRP, one can use the cash to get what it really should have in it..the CGT seats.
