Are you kidding or being serious? Those are the best black wheels for the 997.2 GT3...and they are lightweight (22.8 lbs rear vs. 29.8 stock; and 19.7 lbs front vs. 23.3 stock). I'm not in a hurry; when I need them in the spring, I'll order them...unless I find a great deal somewhere now...

Each to his own though.

Gorgeous. Are the fronts 9" or 8.5"

Also, has anyone tried putting Pirelli's Corsa System 265/30/19s on 9" fronts? I wonder if they would rub?

Sorry, no I am not kidding. The HREs are too busy at the rim's leading edge and the spokes are too narrow and not spaced far enough apart. I know they are light but that's not the only reason to buy a new set. If it were there are even more choices.

The GMGs on the other hand, yummy!

Not feeling the HRE's either. A bit too busy for my..............ummmmm.........taste. I guess the old saying different "spokes" for different folks would apply.

yes, it's the optional charcoal finish shown on other cars on GMG's site, not custom.

I think the GMG WC's are pretty nice, I considered those myself ...

wheels are without doubt ... very subjective, one mans wheel is another man's nightmare ... anyone recall the Kinesis 993 18" supercup .... uugh ...

I really liked the Champion RG5's on my '07 and would have gladly put them on the 10' if I could ... P40's were the closest I could find.

there is a place here in sydney that sells all these fancy chrome wheels. they just renovated and doubled the size of their building, and still they cannot cope with the amount of people coming through.....

....but yes, i too am amazed at how differently people view things...wheels included!

The main reason I like the GMG WCGT wheels is because it mimics the oem Porsche RS Spyder wheels that are optional on the Turbo and found on the Turbo S. Also found on the new Carrera GTS, though it's finished differently on that model. The GMG's spoke configuration and proportions are nearly identical with the RS Spyder centerlocks. I feel it achieves an OEM look, yet further refined, with a slightly deeper concavity, a variety of finishes available, less weight, and more aggressive offset. It's an OEM design that's been perfected, IMO. Looks like it came like that from the factory... and I understand how some may not like this "oem look" and would prefer something more unique and distinctly aftermarket. The centerlock offerings from OZ, Champion, and HRE all do that.

it's cool. the world would be boring if we all liked the same stuff. that's why we are individuals.
you have just made your car more individual for yourself. and that's the main thing.
it's most important that you like what you have, nevermind what other's think. that's just a little
bonus if they like it, but if too many people like it, then it's probably mainstream, and you won't want
it no more. it's all good.
