Feedback from RS track day
Well folks, I survived and so did the car! Wow, what an awesome piece of kit. The Porsche Club UAE are quite strict on stuff, so I was in the group for fast Novices (following a lead car all the time in 5 car groups). There were 20 cars on track and you could only overtake on two straights, so there was a lot of interrupted track time as we were the fastest group and kept catching the other groups up - but it was well organised. Next time I am intermediate and can go it alone. (you too Saif )
My first impressions - car is great. Ran 31psi rear 30psi front - temps went up up to 33 front, 34 rear but did not adjust. Kept tc on all the time.
My observations (and comments on these appreciated) are:
1) The front pushed a fair bit on a fast left right left section when I was nearing the upper regions of speed for the given section of track.
2) I would also like the front to turn in quicker - and on the too quick side of the scale.
3) Three occasions I could not find the gear I needed - guess its just a case of getting used to it.
Next track day next weekend so after the advice i get, I will go and sort the geometry out!
Oh and there was a GT2RS there (yes you did read it right) and what AN AWESOME CAR. The local chap driving it was the best person you coud ever meet.
