I built up a carbon fiber GT i-Drive a while back, stripped the OE decals and did it up in Porsche livery. One year I took it to Laguna Seca to catch the FIA Sports Car races, rode the Sea Otter course in the am then used it for cruising the track & pits during the race. I must have had two dozen people ask me about it and/or take pics, kinda' cool.
It was a blast to ride but it was 1st gen CF - frame gave up after a year or two of abuse. But it never gave me any clutch problems, although the motor did experience some oil/coolant leaks from time to time...
To complete the package be sure to get an authentic Porsche crest head tube badge - should still be available through your dealer's Parts Dept; if not, PM me - I think I saved one.

Wow, that's some commitment. I'm a bicycle guy too, but more in the lugs-and-steel vein. Never thought of a Porsche paint scheme, but now you've got me plotting...
