I have the GMG Bar in my RS. Highly recommend it. Great fit and the GMG guys are first class. Also added Schroth Hans compatible 6 points and a HANS device. All work well together. Now that I have the HANS, I kick myself for waiting so long to get one.

I apply way more than a pound or two of force on my harness. I can't see the extra weight mattering at all.
