My previous sports cars have been a 1986 MR2, a 1996 Miata, and a 1988 911. I am going to take the 88 on the commute tomorrow. Nothing will be louder/stiffer than that! (it is not stock).
I am not seeing many 997.1 low mileage GT3 with asking below $90, or 997.2 gt3 below $110. But that is just the asking price. Is it true you can buy a new one for 7% off sticker?
I did make an offer on the car, we will see what the dealer comes back with.
I think I'll be fine on the commute. The Gt3 is louder and rougher then the Mercedes, but not so much than a more typical commuter car. I don't expect to be entertained commuting, but I think will be satisfied with the functional an percision nature of the GT3.
I did drive another C2S today, and it was fun, but I think I'd rather spend another $15-20 to get the GT3.
I must keep telling myself however that there are a fair number of these cars available, so I don't have to leap at the first.
