Default Automobile Mag GT2 RS vs GTO

Automobile Magazine this month has a reformat of Chris Harris' Evo Magazine comparison between the GT2 RS and the Ferrari GTO. It's not an exact copy so worth a read even if you managed to grab the Evo test. Conclusion remains the same.

Here's a scan of October Evo Magazine article for those that missed or couldn't get it (includes the 959/288 GTO & 917K/512S articles as well): http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=611758

Superquant's original post on same:

I'll post a link to the Automobile Mag article as soon as I track it down.

As promised:

Just picked up the Evo last week - one of the great issues ever, with several classic P vs. F comparos, including Harris also opining on new RS vs. 458.

I agree, that was one of the best magazine issues ever, of any magazine that I have ever seen in my lifetime. Stunning from cover to cover.

P.S. What the GT3 RS front fender should've looked like (you just know this is coming as an option on the LE):

Well written article, love this quote:

The Porsche is the polar opposite. It sounds no more engaging than a hedge trimmer, but it is one of the last great analog driving experiences...the Porsche really does communicate. Its steering is slower, but the wheel tightens and unloads according to road camber, vehicle yaw, and pitch. It feeds information back to you in the hope that you'll have time to do something with it before the turbos go native again. And, of course, configured like this, the GT2 RS is only as good as the hands and feet (and ******** size) of the operator in charge. You drive the GT2 RS with your hands, your shoulders, and, at times, seemingly every muscle in your body. You either admire the simplicity of that approach or wonder whether Porsche has overestimated the abilities of the über-rich.

Harris definitely has a way with the English language. The turbos going native reference did it for me too.
