The Pirelli Drivers Cup was part of the races at the Global Tuner GP at Laguna Seca this weekend. On Saturday, the overall winner of the 45 minute race was my buddy Galen Bieker of Werks II
Motorsport. He was also the winner in his Group B classification since he has driving a '08 gt3 Cup car. I have known Galen since 1984 when we were part of POC (Porsche Owners Club) back then. On Sunday, the overall winner of the 45 minute race was also a friend, Peter Wong, of Vancouver, Canada. He also was the winner of the Group C classification since he was driving a '10 gt3 Cup car. Peter and I (with our wives) had dinner on Saturday night and now he thinks I am bringing him good luck & wants me to go to all his races (LOL). But this is not his first rodeo. Peter won his races at the Pirelli Drivers Cup race at Portland International on June 12/13 of this year, so he is no stranger to the podium. Several other Rennlisters were entrants at the Global Tuner GP, including Savyboy with his Aqua/Gold '10 RS. In the photo below, Galen Bieker (left) and Doug Baron (center - winner of the Group A category in a 996 gt3 cup car) have a bubbly celebration of their victories on Saturday! Doug recently picked up a new '11 RS White/Gold via European Delivery in Zuffenhausen. z356

Mooty: On Saturday, in preparation for that day's Pirelli Cup race, Peter Wong's mechanics tried at the last moment, when it became clear that the track was going to be slightly wet but not enough to require rain tires, to adjust the suspension to compensate for those conditions. But they couldn't finished the job in time and only half of the car was adjusted by the time it came to go to the grid. Peter told me last night that the car pushed like a pig during the race! So on Saturday, he didn't do that well on his Pirelli Drivers Cup event. But by today, his mechanics had dialed in the car correctly and at the last moment, after the first lap, everyone switched to rain tires, when the skies started to open up. Peter started second on the grid and soon took the lead, where he remained for most of the race until the checkered flag was waved! That '10 gt3 Cup car is sure beautiful! z356
