Agree check my thread I installed the 996 cup ones. I like to beleive they are about 1.6 million times better than the alternatives considering what I paid for them. So please don't brake my bubble. : (

Off topic, but former F1 driver & race winner Jean-Pierre Jabouille was involved in much of the stunt driving in Ronin...brilliant movie for sure.

ps: Jabouille won the '79 French GP, site of the most famous F1 driver dual of all time:

1st thing I did on my '04 996.1 was to install the cup brake ducts and the cup front splitter ... I would install them on the 997 if they fitted properly ... the 997 ducts are puny in comparision!

Come on! The ducts are useful but on a public road you need to be driving at a pace that would warrant very serious attention from the law enforcement at first and from the judiciary after. Would only come in handy if you try to recreate the Ronin chase in one continuous shot.

On the track, yes, they are absolutely essential.

I recall tearing off an entire cup front splitter once while driving my '04 GT3 at 120+ on a Scottish A road ... very impressive to watch the remnants in the rear mirror dance down to road behind me ...
Roads are not smooth enough for that...you need the PASM in normal mode, in sport mode its too stiff and car becomes unsettled if there is any bump in the road.

I dont disagree, nor did I assert that they were essential for the road, but Porsche put them there for a reason, and for $40 or so a corner I would rather drive with them than without them ... esp with PCCB ... nor do I want to put them on/off when I track the car ... YMMV

Wow ... I could imagine that being the case with the 997.1 in "sport" which should have been labelled "practically useless" (probably too long to put on a button...) ...

Those 997 ducts are tiny ... so if you are compressing enough that they are contacting the ground and ripping off I would be a little concerned what else was making contact down there ...
