Default Help Please- Spring Rates OE F/R for 2010 RS and Spyder?

If anyone would be able to post OE F/R spring rates specifically for 2010 GT3RS and 2011 Boxster Spyder I would appreciate it immensely and promise you a very interesting future thread.

I remember the stock 08 RS was 250 or 275 in the front and 450/500-ish in the rear...WAY too low stock. I'm pretty sure that the new one is higher

I don't have numbers but I do recall Preuninger comment that they went softer on suspension in new GT3/RS (not sure whether springs or shocks) and alluding to view that perhaps they went too soft.

FWIW, speaking to van der Weerd about the Spyder, I believe he said they went up 10 percent on front spring rate and up EDIT: 30 percent in the rear (from stock Boxster S) — which is why the Spyder is so much keener to turn in than a Cayman S.

Will go back to the recording to see if I got numbers out of him, but they usually don't like to share them.

I *thought* the spring rates were written on the springs themselves ... although its a pain to jack the car to find them ...

did they not also go to a progressive on the .2 over the .1 ... or I am thinking of the 996 vs 997?

No luck so far

The "Technik" book for my (beloved but departed) 2009 C4S listed ALL the specifics. Spring rates and design for each model iteration. However my super-excellent-Master Porsche Tech who is a true diamond in a sea of coal tells me no such book was published by Porsche for the new RS and Spyder. He did get me a price for the Spyder prings which was actually pretty cheap, but contrasted with the RS rear springs which are freaking ridiculou$. And all springs are only in Germany.

I emailed the user over at TeamSpeed who had the KW variant 3 struts installed on his Spyder to see if I could "rent" his old struts for non-destructive testing but no reply

As well I found some suspension tuning tweaks alluded to by P-car engineers on both cars but really need the darn specifics. My P-Tech did tell me the part numbers for 2010+ GT3 and GT3RS springs are the same. But I need rates to establish a baseline and proceed in considered and reasoned fashion.

And if I have the shocks/struts I can dyno them to see where baseline compression and rebound curves are.

If anyone has removed springs / struts from a 2010+ GT3 (preferable RS) and would loan them to me I would pay for shipping and a rental fee As always I will post for the greater good what I discover and results of a super-awesome tweaking project I have planned

36 and 85 ft lbs for 997.2 GT3? I must have my conversion wrong because that seems way too low..

Knew the converters I was using made no sense. Thanks.

280 & 655 still sounds low. No wonder it feels too soft on track.

Thanks for posting the numbers. Good to know.
