Maybe add some spacers too...

Could well be too much front camber since there's no camber gain in struts and the Spyder has a stiffer front sway.
If it doesn't already have wider track, I'd certainly be willing to add offset or spacers to fill out the front arches.

Guys, I am with you on this...this is the easy stuff to tweak. And I did it early on. Already at -2.5 (or -2.7? have to check) front, and did not go more than -2.0 on rear as more would have exacerbated the understeer. It is not working the rear tires at all. The inside of the rear tire looks brand new and outside shoulder is worn out. Pics attached.

My only possible next move was to either increase rear spring rate or get a stiffer rear bar. So I worked with Ira to develop a rear bar as I wanted to try and keep a civil street ride (theoretically what a bar vs springs allow).

And stock struts do not allow for spring adjustment, not threaded body.

That whole direction is why I started this thread as I am working with a suspension guy to develop a application specific coilover solution for both the RS and Spyder.

I put GT3 LCA's on it way back in June to get camber the "right" way. My tech pushed strut tops out to widen track.

Savvy, how is you front and rear toe? It may be possible to reduce toe-in in the rear may be to get closer to a neutral setting, assuming you feel the understeer under heavy throttle at corner exit.

0mm front, +1.5mm per side rear.

I am with you. But the understeer is so severe (I believe) it needs to be fixed either by 1. Tire size (bigger front). 2. Spring rate. 3. Sways.

Savy how are you lap times?
Most people complain about car pushing then they "fix" it only to find their lap times go up..

Fair question- at laguna Seca I can run within 1 second of what David Ray ran in the Excellence sidebar article. He was doing 1:44, 1:45. He is a ex-SCCA racer and knows the track way better than I do. My times are 1:46 in the Spyder.

At TH, I can run run 2:06's in the Spyder which is nothing to be embarassed of.

But in both cases, I had severe understeer, T2 at TH, T2 at LS for example.
