I hope that I didn't prompt that thought??

A cup is a brilliant bit of kit for the track!! Nothing comes close when referring to any road car.

Just be very careful of the following;

1) Running costs, especially tyres and just remember that most parts are very expensive.

2) The time that it takes to get them set up and packed up on race day. This I can't stand!!

3) And the simple fact that you can never drive them on the road. Which I would have no doubt that you are well aware of, however if you will want to have a nice, fast car for some road usage then this is very much answered with the RS2.

-Coolant issues

All comments appreciated.
Cheers,

If you can only have one car for tracking and it has to be street legal then the RS is hands down best option out there. If your focus is getting on track and you can trailer or can afford to have someone do it for you then buy a dedicated race car. It'll be faster, safer, and more fun. Used 996 Cup would be my first choice but there are endless options.

Yes I'd buy my RS again but given the choice now I'd buy Mooty's - killer deal. With the money saved I could fly to SF, do a west coast track tour, and then have the car shipped east. No brainer.
