Default HRE wheels on / stocks weighed

I purchased the wheels from wheel boutique, they were used, and were on the White 997.2 GT3 that was in the photo shoot they posted up here. Wheels came packaged well, said they were in perfect condition and pretty much were but was disappointed that they were shipped pretty dirty with water stains and seemed to be a lil rust. Had them cleaned with a polish gun, got most of it off. Feel like that should of been said, not "Perfect". But they are wheels so **** happens.

They are gorgeous wheels, not sure they match my car color as well as the stock wheels...not sure which I prefer, probably the stocks, but Ill see if I adjust to them or might make the lip black as well. I like the no center cap look, its racey.

Weighed the 19" Stocks and the 19" HRE comp 90

Stock Rear = 29 lbs
Stock Front = 23.4 lbs

HRE Rear = 24 lbs
HRE Front = 20.4 lbs

saved 3lbs per wheel at the front and 5lbs at each rear

Sorry for crap cell phone pictures

Thanks for going to the trouble to get those weights. I'm sure all the aftermarket wheel makers thank you too! All the more reason to pony up the dough for BBS, etc. After all, it's a bargain on unsprung and flywheel affect mass compared to ceramic brake rotors ... : )

BBS wheel wt as per BBS staff

18” 3 pcs 22.0# 23.5# ($6000 approx)
19” 3 pcs 24.5# 26.75# (not sure price)
19” monoblock 17.85# 20.75# (just shy of $10,000)

nothing is available in USA until maybe october if you put your order in NOW.
speed merchant may still have one set of 18" 3 pc.

DD GT3 RS: the 3 piece BBS will not work right on your car unless it's RS. for the front to clear, you need at least 3 deg of camber. unless you trailer your car it's pretty tough to have such extreme setting.

I agree...the black Center Lock would look perfect. We do thank you for posting the weights. I hope you enjoy them. If you get a chance I'd love to get some high res photos

just "weighting" for you to deliver the P40's to Alex @ Sharkwerks, I have the black CLs waiting ...

I think the P40s in satin black will look great against the Mexico Blue, I will happily let you have some hi-res pictures ...

I hope you guys have more weather like you had yesterday. I was up there at Sharkwerks yesterday. If you catch him in time, I left a Centerlock there for him to ship back It was done in satin silver.

I think the black on blue is going to look mean. Can't wait.

if I kidnap/ransome the satin silver CL will I get my satin black P40's faster?

I cant wait to see them on the car, I spent a lot of time looking around for a suitable wheel, for my money the P40 is the best combination of looks, technology and price ...

I'll make sure to grab some good photos @ Sharkwerks when we do the install and have Alex ship them to you ... or I can ... either way I'll post on this thread.
