Drilling a hole in the plate could be construed as "probable cause" for a traffic stop by those having authority, just saying

See my avatar to the left. Hole in the plate is fine as long as it doesn't obscure the tag

Ditto on where to find the hitch and trailer... Did some googling and couldn't find anything.

Really cheap trailer http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...cessories.html
then go to porsche or scrap yard buy a tow hook, take to machine shop and have ballmount welded to it. My guess that would be $100.00. All in less than 500

I take my two rears in my car and equiraptor, my fantastic and amazing girlfriend, carries my front wheels in the passenger seat of her Miata. Did I mention she's wonderful and fantastic?

And what do you think of the OZ Allergrita as track wheels on your RS?
I've got about 2500 track miles on them so far and I'm quite happy with them. Fronts are only 8.5" (not 9") but I haven't found that to be a significant limitation. They're light, cheap, and they've stayed round.

I've never seen on a hitch on a GT3 before. Very slick.
http://www.willwoodsystem.com/ is who makes the fancy one (hidden behind license plate). One of these days...

I bought mine used. But I saw an identical one at Road Atlanta this year. I think the trailer manufacturer is no longer around, but per the sticker on the fender, it was made by Southsport Trailer out of Sanford FL 800 253 9387. Quality is MUCH !! higher then Harbor Freight one, but even the Harbor Freight one works. It's just that the wheels are so little that you can't go much over 55mph. Mine tows nicely at 75-80mph

I tried this years ago with my RSA ... I drove down to buttonwillow and back with a set of 4 Fikse's on a thule roofrack racheted down with 2" webbing.

I sat the wheels "upright" side-by-side between the two bars, just off of touching the roof.

After several hours freeway driving up 5 then 101 the air pressure/resistance finally overcame the mechanical resistance ... so all I heard was a sliding sound ...

The entire roofrack slide backwards on the rain gutters, depositing all four wheels on the whaletail on the back of the car, fortunately for me and more so
for the people behind me on the freeway (late at night) none of the wheels came off of the car, the 2" webbing and the rack, along with the whaletail kept
them (sort of) on the car ... I had to make an emergency stop on the shoulder
and put them back on ...

never again!

Harbor Freight makes that trailer with two different wheel sizes -- 8" and 12". The one with 12" wheels is fine for freeway speeds.
