Default Laguna Seca Lap

Had a great time at Laguna Seca this weekend with POC.

It was fun mixing it up with all the GT3's in the white TT group.

Here a quick vid of one of my faster laps, 1:38.5

I think the GT3RS in front is a RL's car

Hope you enjoy.

Great driving man. Ive never been to LS and only know it from iracing, but the speed you seemed to be carrying through some turns is impressive. WHat tires are you running? Your line seemed to be impeccable as well. For comparison purposes, what do cup Cars run at Laguna? My experience is limited to SE tracks, but I hope to make it out to LS and infineon at some point

Looking good Shahin! 38.5 is a great time at LS- nice driving. Smooth gentle steering inputs, instead of a lot of jerking around like some folks. You have really built a heck of a track car from, a C2S, as I recall? Well done

thanks Pete.

yes my car os a 997C2S, even though it looks like a RS to most with the oem aero mods for the track.

FYI GT3 Cup cars with pro alms drivers and slicks at laguna:

2009 GT3 Cup: 1:32-1:39 range
2010 GT3 Cup: 1:28-1:35
997 RSR: 1:23-1:25

These are based on past Laguna Seca ALMS races

But thats comparing apples and watermelons

That's a 997.1 with some RS "livery" but it's been warmed up a little. I have a 2010 GT3 RS and I was pacing that car for several laps at anywhere from 1.38' to 40's -- it has more brakes and equivalent straight line acceleration acceleration. Amazing. I talked with the driver once or twice (brain fade on names, sorry) and I think he's lined up to get an RS. And if he has a camera on board, he's got interesting footage of me taking the hairpin just a tad too quick and parking it in kitty litter.

sidebar: The number of people I spoke to over the weekend lined up to get an RS and already having impressive cars at the track was surprising -- I think I met three other new faces that have an RS coming, ordered to spec.
