996 has way different geometry and even then on a 996 with rotated mounts, around 2.5 -3.0 deg. of camber you should still have 8.5 - 9.2 deg. caster. How were the measurements done on your car? On modern laser/digital alignments machines, an accurate caster display on the machine is very hard to come by, most tech's don't care about it because caster itselft is usually not adjustable on modern cars, so the numbers on the printout are not necessarly what the real numbers are on the car. You were a BIG help!

I sent this thread to the mechanic who did a flawless job of removing and rotating the top hats. And indeed, negative camber was now around -2.5 and could go even further. After alignment i have -2.5 around now, which is 1 degree more than we could achieve without rotating the hats.
