. I have never leased a car and we don't rent our house but it absolutely was an either/or for me: the RS now, or hold out (and painfully stretch) for a McLaren next year. I took delivery of the RS a few weeks before Pebble Beach and after attending the 12C presentation, don't have the slightest twinge of regret. Since it has to be one, the RS is it..
honestly I don't understand why people insist on getting the newest whatever if they can't really afford it. the RS and the mp4 are in different price realms by possible 100k. between the two cars- yes I think anyone would have to choose the RS in that frame of reference if money is an object.
I haven't yet seen the MP4- car as I'm out working but some people like it, some people don't like it. not exactly as good as I'd expected for reviews...so I can understand how not everyone wants one.

Hell, I hope that video is not true to life in the exhaust note -- it sounds like an old fishing boat with the carb sitting on the cold idle. The video of the car in an enclosed concrete parking lot was much more enticing.
