Need Track Wheel and Tire setup for 2010 GT3 RS
I just traded my 09 Turbo for a new 2010 GT3 RS. I tracked my Turbo and I used a set of R6 Hoosiers on a set of stock Turbo rims. For those 2010 RS owners, what wheel and tire set up are you using for the track? 18 vs 19s? Slicks? Help

He left me no choice and made me buy a second set.
I love these wheels!
BBS/Toyo RA1's because they are cheap, last long and are very consistent, right until they cord.
Hoosiers are faster about a second or 2 during their peak heat cycles, the RA1's are faster before and after. Good for 2 weekends only.
If you want to get a new set each weekend you can go down the crack pipe road of slicks and be another 4 seconds or so faster.

though not peter, but toyo RA1 does not heat cycle out. you drive them until they cord. the closer they are to cording the stickier they get.
hoosier R6, first 6-8HC are very sticky. after that progressively falls off. by 12-14, it's not better than RA1. after 15, it's not very fun to drive any more.

This will fill the bill at a reasonable price.
Breaks down and will fit in the trunk, just use it without the torque piece as a breaker bar.

You probably also want one of these *****'s: www.3rauto.com. It's on their front page.
I thought I could do without but the OEM rear wheel and ie is 64lbs!
More here: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=59610
Use a paint can opener from Lowes to get the dust caps off. Just make sure you stick it in all the way, or you will bend the caps. It's free too:

Buy a few extra dus caps anyway, you are still going to bend them.
Also make sure you don't drop the wheel nut, it will fall apart. Easy to re- assemble, but still..

you can take off the handle part (the part with the gauge) off and use the rest as breaker bar to loosen the nut. takes some muscle but not that bad.
what adapter are you thinking of?
if you are talking about the thing that locks on to the wheel nut, it's included in your car. in the trunk, passenger side, hidden carpet panel.
if you are talking about a big rod guiding the wheel on to the hub, it's $350 or so from 3R racing.

Beat you to it ;-)
R6 set is $1200.00++
RA1 (3 year old, never mounted +/- $800++, including shaving.
Like mooty says 1-8 HC's Hossiers are faster, then same as RA1 for 9-14, after that the RA1 has another 10+ HC's in it and same laptime till they cord. at 4 HC's a day;
Hoosiers: $300* a day for 4 days and the last day they already suck.
RA1: $135* a day for 6 days and they are good till they cord.
Also less cost, less often mount and balance.
*My fronts last 2x longer than the rears, so it is actually cheaper.
