That may very well come. I would not be surprised if PAG changes the '911' or some variant of it to a mid-engine car.

Only in Deutschland....Jim make some time in your schedule next month for a three day DE. Some of the Chin folks are coming from America. We will be at the Nordschleife and Spa for a 3 day back to back to back DE April 6-8. Try to talk your friend with the GT1 into coming along

So wait - he has a GT1 AND a CGT?!

I guess he did something well - what a crazy luxery.

I think it's just fine to express your love for the F40. We're all car guys here right?

However I must say, if you look at the first photo with the F40 in it NOBODY
is looking at that poor F40. EVERYBODY is looking at the GT1.

Two beasts from two different eras, two race cars for the road, both essential, uncompromising and breathtakingly beautiful. In my lifetime I have maybe seen two GT1's, I have seen "many" F40's both on road and track. Not to take anything away from the GT1 and its crowd but maybe it's also due to its rarity.

IMHO the GT1 is the ultimate 911 whereas the F40 changed the definition of supercar from heavy, undriveable not to mention untrackable OTT cars alla Countach/Testarossa to insane driver's cars. We owe it a lot.

I think I just wet my pants.

The 911 GT1 is my all time favorite car. Thank you for those pictures,... what a treat!

Did you have a chance to ask the owner about his thoughts between driving the GT1 and the CGT? Would have loved to hear his personal thoughts - classic, turbo vs. modern, NA.
