Haha, yes, lost cause.

2700lbs is overweight? I thought you were in a clss of your own, where you are always the litest?

But why R6? If you want to go fast get slicks, if you want to save money get RA1, if you want to be frustrated, get R6....Stock exhaust should not slow you too much..

This thread had to beginnings of a spicy "steel vs. PCCB" debate...before you guys ruined it with all this race/lapping/weight talk.

steel / pccb has long been debated here.
each has proponents.
more discussion leads to more of the same.
just buy both rotors.
the real fast guys here run pccb FL/RR and steel FR/RL.

I am in sort of class by myself b/c rarely do you see idiots who would strip a GT3. i am in GTA with PCA, RSR's are my competitors. GT3 with POC, but those car "practice and develop" their cars. i just show up and pretend to drive the thing. sometimes i get lucky.

i like R6 a lot. RA1 not in GT3 sizes, i have a 6 remember.

slicks.... well, i need to burn through 6 more sets of R6, unless you buy them all. i also need more springs for slicks.

stock exhaust is about 70lbs heavier on the ***.

btw, colin i think you figure out what to do with pccb/steel. just keep steel.
if you need more clue, tell me and trakcar to STFU.

but truth be told, it's too complicated to swap to pccb. and knowing us, by the time you have pccb setup, you would have sold the car already.

Practice because: in all cases, if you suck, you don't get asked back

I think this one is staying. I missed my GT3, very happy to have the RS. And I have no confidence the "next RS" is going to be better than this one. Hopefully it will, but if the motor is significantly different (new block), if it's a hybrid, if it only comes with PDK....all those change the character of the car. Be interesting to see what happens.

seriously thought, if new car is pdk, different block or hybrid, i would lease it and turn it back. but the old school RS will stay. and i think at some point, it will become PDK and such... then my wallet can take a breather.

If I replace the RS ever, the new car needs to be a 2+2 like 911, so I can fit in the car, be lighter with at least 450HP and 317lb torque.

It also must be track proven for at least 10 years and be non AWD, non PDK, non Turbo, non Hybrid and non SC, but if you can turn SC off completely it is OK.

Ruf V8, but where would I service it?

Good strategy. I assume you've pulled the rotors, calipers, and pads to save all that useless unsprung weight?
