997.1 RS -- Bilstein Damptronics -- feedback

I have the Damptronics on my 997.1 GT3 and have been tracking it and street driving it for about a year or two now. I went to the system because I thought the front springs were just way too soft on the track and switching the shocks to hard didn't really fix the problem. But I didn't want to disable the car for the street and I didn't want to start with a lot of adjustments - I had that on my Elise and never did figure it out. The increase in stiffness is not huge - I think the fronts went from 225 to 350 or so and the rears from the 500s to the 600s. The difference on the track was significant but I am now thinking I need to go stiffer. Springs are cheap but I think I will have to forget about the switchable PASM because I have no idea how the PASM map could be reflashed to conform to the new pieces and I think, otherwise, it won't work. Like all compromises on these cars, it seems like everything I do tends to make the car better for the track and less streetable. Bottom line, for an 88% track car, go with the Motons or equivalent and pay some one good to help you set up the car.

I hope to be in your position someday

PJ: If you go to Gregg - he will supply you with a book of settings for the Pacific Northwest tracks under wet, dry and different tire set up. With your focus and speed, I would think JRZ or Moton is what you need. Take the time and do it right and only once. :-)

There are a few Turbo guys on 6speed... xseal and e55amg are 2 that come to mind.
we lean more towards modifying the suspension that is on the gt3 rather than change the dampers to something that is comparable.

not apples/apples but you get the idea.
