Anyone with the GT2 sport seats?
How do you like them? Good fit? Seat height similar to regular seats? A lot lighter? I found a set and am doing my homework.
Thanks,
Stu

They are very comfortable and supportive, but they sit very high (not adjustable). If you are very tall (or have a tall torso), head/helmet room may be an issue.

They are a little less "upright" the the 996 buckets, a little wider and more padded than the 996 buckets.
weight wise they are somewhere between the stock seats and the 996 buckets.
As pointed out they do "sit" higher than the 996 buckets and are not height adjustable, in fact you can only slide them fwd/back.
Personally I would highly recommend them (even given their price) over the 996 buckets for a mixed use road/track car, I would probably stick with the pp6 buckets for a purely track beast ...
you will require a pair of the B-K GT2 Sports Buckets sub belt bars in order to install a 6pt harness (sub belt) there are no OEM solutions since the sub belt is supposed to bolt to the floor and the NA cars do not have the bolt points installed since the CS option is not available in the USA

Larry - I'm only 5'11" (with a freakishly tall torso) and my helmet was rubbing the headliner in a 2010 RS. Most folks won't have an issue (and my dad even complained of the seats being a little too low for him).

Find the bases to be too wide and not enough seat bottom angle to get adequate thigh support. Also would perfer a more upright backrest. Width and comfort on the back is good. Great quality.
By way of context, I'm 6'1", 175lb and coming from karting background where you want to be wedged into your seat. My buddy's Cobra race seat in his track E30 is a much better fit - enough base angle for full thigh support, more upright backrest, and narrow enough to eliminate lateral movement under high Gs.
All comes down to your size and what you're used to. If you're coming from standard Porsche seats and are a "normal" American then you'll likely be very happy.

great for track, the lack of adjustment in all planes but for and aft make them a bit much for street. But we're all different.

I'm 5'10", 170 lbs, and they fit me fine (so did the 996 GT3 seats but these are better for mixed use.) Think about where you will store the sub belt and crotch pad (if you have one). These seats have one piece bottom cushions and the sub belt comes up through the middle, so you can't pull up just the front cushion like you could on the 996 seats.)

6'5" medium build...240ish and my hips do not fit down in them and my helmet is crushed into the headliner. TRAKCAR is about as tall as me and I sat in his set up because he had the seats tilted back on the mounts a little. I still cant squeeze my hips down in them and the seats sit way too high for me

I'm 6'2", 176 lb. with long legs. I actually wish the was a little higher. I too was bothered by the too-flat seat bottom and too-upright backrest. I easily fixed both by placing spacers (about 1/8 inch) under the rails in front. After that the seat was perfect. Have driven 600 miles in a day without any discmfort.

I am 6' 2", 200#s and find them to be very comfortable in my 997.2 GT3, even on trips of 300+ miles. They are however a little more upright than I would prefer and they do not recline. I use them with a 6 pt harness. If you are not planning on tracking the car and also installing a rollbar/harness I would stick with the sport seats. If you need a racing seat, the GT2 seats are the only option with a thorax airbag.

Thanks everyone. All great info. I have the Sport Adaptive's and am not 100% sure I want to make the change. I have read some of the old posts and some folks are pretty soured on the GT2's.
I am 6'2" and am about 190 lbs. I found a pretty good deal on the new set of GT2's and if I don't take them, someone here should. I wish I could find a set installed in a GT3.1 to try on for the final decision.

GT2 seats are best in the business if you value comfort and stability.
they recline forward for storage access too! awesome.
anything under 5k is a no brainer.
