They wouldn't comment on availability since they are still homologating the N spec tyres with Porsche, but I believe there will be such available mid next year.

Michelin stated that a refresh/redesign of the MPSC may be under consideration in the future, IMHO they were too vague to imply that such was already underway ...
given the limited experience I had on the Super Sports I would say that they pretty much match the MPSC on track in the dry ... in the wet they will clearly
be better on standing water

I think they would be worth a shot as a street/track combo ... certainly in the Corsa territory.

Larry since the P Zero Trofeo is offered in 18"s by Pirelli will not Michelin respond to the competition?
They are stoping production of old real cups in 18s *already 315/30/18 are not availiable anywhere and they never did the new N cups in 18s. If they don't even give the market 18s PSS with what they ll face them with the PS2 and the inferior PS3?

I got the impression that they were entirely focused on the Super Sport to spend much time considering the MPSC for now, especially in the specs that the PS3 will occupy.

Pls do ask I know and expect that in some years nobody will care about the 18s but for the next 5 -10 there is a market for them regarding sport tires. So I assume that they have to give something out that complies with new EU directives and can stand the competition fe. in a car mag test.
If they come there with the PS3s the joke will be on them.

Thanks for excellent info.
Let me summarize: PSS matches MPSC in dry, better in wet, wear better than PS2, but no sizes available for GT3RS to use. So this tires does not concern me then.

its a good question; I will ping some of the contacts I made at Michelin and ask about this ... see what happens.

Given the Super Sport glowing reviews (better dry/wet traction, wear) it appears that the Super Sport is a technology breakthrough. If correct that is wonderful, as tire companies are under pressure to produce lower rolling resistance tires and some of those, reports say, are lower performing tires.
