I did just buy the RGT and am absolutely loving it. I have the priviledge of living in Denver where the roads are fantastic and this thing is amazing in the twisty roads. Am in Breckenridge right now and did a drive up and down Loveland Pass this am and this thing sticks to the mountain roads like nothing I have had before. The guys at RAC Performance were great and I traded the 996 RGT I had bought from them last year.

Not too many people have stepped from one RGT to the next.
I think I'm following you on Twitter -- do you also have a Koenigsegg and a GT2?
Just kidding! : )

Rowen,
Great taste in cars. The RGT is a rare beaut. Hard to imagine someone actually owns two generations of this beauty.
Looks aside, can you give us mere mortals a comparison of how the 996 RGT and the 997 RGT drive?
Where is that droolie smilie when I need it.

Yes I know, no sympathy expected. I was happy with the 996 RGT that I got last November until they suckered me into driving the 997 version. As my buddy Brian said, you can definitely tell a big difference in horsepower and low end torque which is a big difference in the higher altitudes. The handling on the 996 RGT is incredible and this takes it to a whole new level plus I like the looks much better. Had some trouble with the brown seats in the 996 and was looking to switch to black when this option came along. I am good with the plaid seat inserts as it's a step up from the brown seats. Am planning on taking to Porsche Palooza in Eureka Springs in November and can't wait to try it on the twisties there.

Enjoy the car. The previous owner was local to me and so I had the honor of seeing the car on several occasions. It is absolutley stunning in person and part of a large collection of beautiful cars. The PO also has a beautiful green 993 RUF which I would love to own one day.
