Default silly idea: RS.1 wing on a GT3.2...

looking at the rear decklid of my .2 GT3 I note (albeit superficially) how the mounting of the wing is similar/(identical) to that of the RS.1 decklid and CF wing ...

I wonder if they are the same part ... which would mean that the RS.1 CF wing would fit on the back of the GT3.2 (not RS).

Not sure why this would be a good idea, as I suspect that the .2 wing probably generates more downforce than the .1 RS CF part ... but for the fashion concious amongst us ...

wow so it fits ... I notice a gap between the back of the lower edge of the wing and the decklid uprights ... presumably this is because of the angle of attack of the wing (i.e you cant set it lower?)

Larry - I believe that is a new bumper on an old car, not an old wing on a new car

Both the new 3.8L GT3 and the first gen GT3/RS has single air inlet on the right side, they seem to be the same. I believe they should fit...

Here's 997.1 GT3

And here's 997.2 GT3

Yeah I was thinking the wing (not the decklid) fitting onto the .2 uprights ...

I wonder if the .2 decklid is in fact the .1 RS part?

Quick Reply: silly idea: RS.1 wing on a GT3.2...
