Fun watching the vidoe Mike and good save on the spin! You guys must have had a ton of fun. Now I need to find time to come down there one of these days!

Mike,

Thanks for posting the video. It looked like a great time.

Glad you avoided the dreaded T bone and very nice save from the leaking coolant.

Do you turnoff the driver's aids when you are on the track?

Looks like a great group. I wish we could have those huge overhangs in the paddocks for the events here in the summer!
Sony HDR-CX350 flash drive based camcorder. Super light and fantastic HD recodring

mooty got to Thunderhill first and parked his trailer across the cover paddock and save everyone parking space

Golden Gate Lotus Club let advance cars in the intermediate group too so we basically ran 12 sessions for the whole day. Everyone was beat and lost 5 lbs from sweat but what a adrenaline filled day. Once you drive the track here you just might sell your house and move to the Bay

Serge, did you clean all the weeds off your wheels after the spin at T1?

Pete is going to be there with his Spyder. POC is too expensive for my blood plus it's all race and only 4 sessions of DE per day and cost more than $350?

Are most folks running water wetter, or still using coolant? Too many reports of blown coolant hose/fitting issues and subsequent offs/spins to justify keeping real coolant in a GT3 run on the track IMO.

Very easy "mod":

1. purchase water wetter & distilled water
2. drain coolant, store in secure leak proof container (clean up any spilled coolant, especially if you have pets)
3. fill with water + water wetter
4. take old coolant to recycling center
5. go have fun at the track : )

Yes, a small bottle should be more than sufficient:

I find that neighborhood cats are a good way of disposing used coolant. They love that stuff!

I was kidding. Though sweet at first, coolant's aftertaste is quite bitter.
