Default My .2 arrived

on Friday. Sorry, nothing exciting on this car. No decal delete -- it's still all masked off with white vinyl. Except the the fat black wheel in combination with the black center stack really makes the car different from my .1. I like this look much better than the volcano gray stuff and the thicker wheel is worth the (outrageous) upcharge.

The LI batt is in a box in the trunk and is shockingly light.

I'm still a better driver than photographer.

Congrats - looks just like mine. I should have left the blue foam things on it - I almost got a door ding from this kid in a GTi who was excited to see the car up close and parked right next to me.

What d'ya mean nothing exciting? Hope you're talking about the options list and not about your state of mind
Cool car nonetheless

Yes, optionwise, not exciting. Oh, I did get the fuzzy arm rest to match the ones on the doors.

Yup, my beer fridge is in the garage between our 2 cars, I drink more now and it always seems to take forever to go get a beer my wife says. She also suggest that sleep in the car occasionally :-)

The synthetic suede (velour) called Alcantara.

http://www.alcantara.com/en_US/

Looks like real hard core racing stuff ... until you realize it's a synthetic and would burn and gas off toxins just as badly as any other cabin trim ... why can't Porsche offer a Nomex option?! : )

Nicely done. I'm thinking of ordering full leather and getting my body shop paint guru to put the piano gloss black on the cabin trim (and copy that dull black steering wheel) ... after a couple of days at looking at the cabin, well, you have to remind yourself, the money was spent for the driving of it, not the aesthetics of the cabin plastics.

If you care to share some cabin trim pics, I'd be interested in seeing it, thanks.

Big congrats!

I spent 3 hours on track yesterday and it was amazing. I lost counts of the number of cars that I passed.

Hi Street,
Looks like we have twins. Mine just arrived yesterday. Unfortunately, I haven't driven it yet. The weather is terrible, so have decided to leave it at showroom until the weather is better. Here are some shots.

Ciao and enjoy.

Car is getting the mechanical PDI today. Pick her up on Saturday and will try to hold the camera steady and include some interior shots.

Interior is pretty stock except for fat black wheel and fuzzy arm rest. Oh yea, and the "fake" carbon console.

RS Lover: I WISH our cars were twins. No cage, Lexan, cloth seats, or belts in the States.
