we had two RS
relative didn't take his
so we ended up with lots of parts for his car.
i would take it, but i already have two sets of bbs for the RS
3 sets of wheels in my 6 stripper
6 sets of wheels for my two cars.
3 tq wrench
10 timers (since i keep losing them, so i got bulk discount).
i even have 3 those nut adaptors for the RS centerlock, fearing i will lose them.
3 AC hydraulic jacks. one only stays left side, one only right, and the long one only lift up the engine case.
10 boxes of rubber gloves to work on cars.
40 caliper bolts (when i tracked GT3 a lot in 2008)
just to put things into perspective, i bought enough bath bar soap that i haven't have to buy any more since 2001...
i bleed my brakes a lot. so i have lots motul 600. i both 24 bottle at a time (dont worry, that's about 12 months only, they wont go bad that quick). if allowed, i probably will buy 500 gallons of fuel in my garage.... hum, you know.... my house used to be the local fire station. they must have diesel storage tank somewhere....... hahaha.... i think i need to find it and store 100 octane fuel..... when you see the next chernobyl (sp) in CA... probably my backyard.
every day i trip in my garage.... so i think i need to get rid of some stuff.
i already took over 1/2 of my sister's garage, parked my trailer at my friend's warehouse, keep one car at my mechanic's place.....
i dont know why i have so much crap...
clean the garage up. so i can buy more crap ;-)
u see, i have a disease.

These will ONLY fit 997.2 RS
If 997.2 non RS, u need at least -3 camber or won't fit

however, BBS at GA headquarter did tell me that if you run it with track alignemnt on non RS, you will be ok. i take that to be no less than 2.5 deg
here is the offset
9x18 ET43mm
12x18 ET48mm
my "guess" is that they will fit. but i can't guarantee it and i dont want ppl to get upset at me if the rubber touched fender lip.
just like 996gt3, if you run 12, your fender lip is rubbed. you ca'nt see it usually. but take wheel off, get your head inside the fender then look OUT toward the lip, you will see rub mark. most ppl dont detail that part of their cars. so they tell you they dont rub.. but 12" rear will rub 996 unless you roll fenders.

hum... getting personal here. i jack off self, not the engine case...
that's where all the pro team jack from.
i am not saying it wont hurt the car. but if i fly off track, i will do a lot more damage than that. so i dont really worry about it anymore.
now that i disclosed this, no one will ever buy my cars ;-)
some ppl release their car off jack very slowly. i never understood that. i just drop the car, like you see on NASCAR.

In order to get the car on the lift, the shop I go to would use a jack on the engine case to lift the car up a little bit to get the car high enough for the lift arms to go under.. I guess it is a not so uncommon practice..
