Just 1 point, the Eagle RS has not been approved to drive in very many classes nationally. Some regions have started allowing it to be run locally and those allowing it to run in IT racing (for example), it is dominating. My own experiences seeing people run them on a track at DEs and member days, they are faster than Hoosiers and seem to be most comparable with Michelin Cup slicks (racing slicks, not MPSC street tires).

Old thread....but has anyone tried this tire?

I have read it is not quite on par with Hoosier, but will last much longer

Might be an option in lieu of toyo for those of us that are not addicted to Hoosier?

Yeh but the others, as has been pointed out, lack premium sidewall styling.

Old thread revival......I am trying to find someone who has tried these on a GT3....997.1 non RS

If they are the same price as Hoosier, they are still a better deal for me, the southeast stocking distributor is local so I can pick them up in lieu of paying for tire shipping

Looks to me like 245/35/18 front and 315/30/18 will fit just fine

I talked to a guy who runs them on a BMW M3 and claimed he get smore usuable heat cycles than Hoosier R6

If it ain't broke don't fix, but I only have 6 sets of Toyo's left, so must llok for next batch..
What if they are about as fast a Hoosier, but last almost as long as a Toyo and they are cheap?
I'm an excellent cheap (Read; Free) tire tester..

Some more info from Goodyear

Hot pressure for a "plus sized" gt3......40 hot

Claim a little stiffer sidewalk than Hoosier r6 at 40 psi.....

Tire likes one degree less camber than Hoosier......2.5 recommended for gt3

Comes to temp slower than Hoosier r6, but stick stays consistent longer

Info came from a Goodyear racing tire engineer.....

If all goes well I will drive this tire at sebring end of this month.....demo tires

I'm interested if the price is reasonable and performance matches/bests other tires on the market. Would love to support another American tire company. There was a time when Goodyear owned racing on both sides of the pond.

...now I've just got to get some reasonable 18" wheels along with everything else.

Love to "test" them myself. RA1's are running low. Either that or the Michelin Cups would have to start making 315/18's
