RS4, great daily! AWD to boot as well for the rainy/snowy days, sounds A LOT NICER than M3, and just as fast.

GT-R is not really a daily drive.

S65 motor in M3 just got engine of the year for 3.0L-4.0L
The 3.8 block in RS/GT3 placed second.
GTR got 3rd. I guess having all 3 would be the best option. cool how porsche also got 4-6.

I haven't driven any GTR's. Was smitten with the R34. Not sure I would dig all the help from the car, but the power must be addictive…probably good thing I haven't tried one. I picked the M3 because i could get it with 4 doors. I really don't see any other car on the market like it at this point. I really wish Audi would make a new RS4 Avant. I would be first in line to grab one.

Since I'm in germany, I actually am looking at getting a 1 hatchback for a commuter. I think the 123d would be pretty fun. lots of torque and 46MPG when pushing it hard!
Wish the bloody manufacturers would start releasing more diesels state side. And that 1 series hatch too; it's my preffered style of car belief it or not since we all ran aroundd in honda civic hatchbacks in high skewl.

I had an E46 M3 and a R35 GTR before. I'd say M3 is definitely a better daily driver

Went for a test drive of the M3 yesterday and loved it. Today I tried to see the GTR -- they wouldnt let me test drive it. Also, there was a 10k markup over MSRP. I guess that helps me make my decision easier.

I know that your initial thoughts are on the GTR or the M3.

And I see that some guys have encouraged the C63 card as well.

I too wanted a DD and I was only ever going to buy the M3 V8, that was until I drove the C63 and M3 V8 back to back.

The drive is completely different.

The Merc has 50% more torque and you can really feel it, not to mention that glorious note!!

The M3 was annoying to drive as a daily driver, as you really have to ring it's neck to get any sort of gratification.

For a Track car I would definitely take the M3.

However for a daily drive the C63 is Miles in front.

I hope this vid helps with your decision.
